1. Your Membership

What you get

Your subscription includes unlimited downloads of all ESL Atelier resources (lessons, worksheets, activities, audio files).

Billing & Cancellation

• Monthly plan: $19/month. Yearly plan: $179.88/year (billed once)
• Billing renews automatically on the same date each month/year
• You can cancel anytime in your account settings. No questions asked, no friction
• When you cancel, you keep full access until the end of your current billing period — we do not refund the unused portion
• If we change pricing, we'll email you 30 days in advance. You can cancel before the change if you don't accept the new price

Refunds

• Free tier: Two lessons are available free at /free, no card or signup required
• After billing begins: Cancellations are not refunded. You retain full access until the end of your paid period (monthly or annual)
• Yearly plans: You can cancel anytime and keep access until the year ends, but the prepaid annual amount is non-refundable
• Exception: If we cause a material service disruption (extended downtime, lost access), contact us — we'll review a pro-rata credit case-by-case

2. Permitted Uses

You can:

• Download and print resources for your own teaching
• Use materials in your classroom (in-person or online)
• Share edited versions with your students
• Use materials with unlimited students (if you're a single teacher)
• Edit and customize materials for your classes
• Save resources to your account for later

3. What you cannot do

You cannot:

• Resell, redistribute, or republish ESL Atelier materials
• Claim you created the materials (always credit ESL Atelier if sharing publicly)
• Upload materials to other platforms without permission
• Remove copyright notices or disclaimers
• Use materials in a competing educational business
• Share your login with other teachers (one account per teacher)
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract materials for resale

4. Account Responsibility

• You're responsible for keeping your password secure
• You're responsible for all activity on your account
• Don't share your login with others
• Let us know immediately if you think someone accessed your account without permission

5. Intellectual Property

• ESL Atelier owns all original content (lessons, activities, audio, designs)
• Your subscription is a limited license to use the materials for teaching. You don't own them
• When you edit materials, those edits are yours, but the original content remains ours

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for illegal purposes
• Hack, attack, or interfere with our servers
• Transmit viruses, malware, or harmful code
• Spam or harass other users
• Scrape or automate downloads without permission

7. Disclaimers

• ESL Atelier is provided "as is" without warranties
• We don't guarantee 100% uptime, but we work hard to keep things running
• If the service has material downtime, you can contact us about a pro-rata credit
• Materials are for educational use only. We're not liable if lesson results don't match student expectations

8. Limitation of Liability

• We're not liable for indirect, consequential, or lost profit damages
• Our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months
• In other words: if something goes wrong, we'll do our best to fix it, but we're only on the hook for what you paid

9. Termination

We can terminate your account if you:

• Violate these terms or our acceptable use policy
• Share your login widely to circumvent our license terms
• Engage in illegal activity
• Harass our staff or other users

If we terminate your account for violations, no refund will be issued.

10. School Licenses & Bulk Pricing

If your school or institution wants to use ESL Atelier, we have special licensing terms. Email hello@esl-atelier.com and we'll discuss options.

11. Changes to Terms

We can update these terms anytime. We'll email you if changes materially affect your rights. If you don't agree, you can cancel before the changes take effect.

12. Dispute Resolution

• If there's a dispute, we'll try to resolve it via email first
• If that doesn't work, disputes are governed by the laws of [your jurisdiction]
• For disputes under €5,000 (or equivalent), we agree to binding arbitration to keep costs low
